MP3 of the Day #90: Music For Your Heart

Love the chilled out, laid back vibe of this. The press release says it far better than I ever could:

“The One” was recorded by Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub) and features Volker Zander (Calexico) on double bass. Music For Your Heart is the alter ego of Sandra Zettpunkt. Her palette ranges from indie anthem to pastoral gem and pays knowing reference to the raw sparseness of early Cat Power, Slint’s aural intensity, Nico’s dark elegance and the welcome transparency of the Radar Brothers. Music For Hearts debut album “Turning Marvel” is set to be released 25 September on Sunday Service via Vinyl/CD/iTunes.
