Video of the Moment #345: Passion Pit

If you’ve been wondering what’s been going on with Cambridge, Massachusetts electropop outfit Passion Pit, wonder no more. They have been tirelessly touring, but they took a brief ‘break’ from usual touring to record an intimate (only 50 lucky contest winners were present), all-acoustic set in Los Angeles back in September. And considering how much electronic equipment singer Michael Angelakos and his bandmates usually have onstage, this was a rare event.

Below you can watch a performance of ‘Moth’s Wings’ from this set. It sounds so different than the sound you normally associate with Passion Pit (‘Sleepyhead’ for one), so this makes me believe their next album (whenever that is released) could potentially be very different.

Passion Pit are touring (yes, again) in North America starting at the end of this month.
