Video of the Moment #350: The Script

By on Friday, 26th November 2010 at 6:00 pm

So yeah, after seeing them live earlier this month, the Script are my new guilty pleasure. (You wouldn’t believe the amount of flak / number of drink offers I’m getting from all my male professional contacts.) The promo video for ‘Nothing’, the second single from their sophomore album ‘Science and Faith’ released in February, was released last month.

The song’s subject should be pretty obvious when you listen to / if you read the lyrics. It’s no ‘Breakeven’: it’s got a strange swimming scene reminiscent of Friendly Fires‘s ‘Jump in the Pool’ and Script lead singer Danny O’Donoghue ends up soaking wet like John Cusack does in all his rom-coms. But it’s the Script, man. And if you don’t have a couple pints on hand, nothing beats the Script when you’ve got a broken heart.

‘Nothing’, the latest single by the Script, is available now.
