Feeling cold? Are you over the snow? Then how about thinking ahead to sunnier climbs and hot beats at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival? This year’s festival takes place the 25th to the 27th of March 2011. Last year, the festival at Bicentennial Park had its most successful year to date, with 2 sold-out days drawing over 100,000 people. It featured more than 350 international leading electronic music performers, DJs and cutting-edge bands alongside Miami regional artists. Ultra is the first major U.S. music festival of the year, and judging by the names already announced to grace their stages in 2011, this year is going to be one not to miss if you’re a fan of electronic music. Below is a preview from the festival to whet your appetite.

This year’s amazing line-up includes headliners Tiësto (Friday 25 March), deadmau5 (Saturday 26 March, pictured above) and the Chemical Brothers (Sunday 27 March), as well as other acts like TGTF favourite Holy Ghost!, MTV 10 for 10 nominee Tinie Tempah and BBC Sound of 2011 longlist nominee Nero.

Tickets for this event are available now. Advance tickets for the 3-day event are US179.95 (approximately £117 at the time of this posting), and VIP tickets are US499.95 (approximately £325).

After the cut: Artists scheduled to appear as announced through Ultra’s Phase 1 line-up, with many more artists still to be announced in the coming weeks.
