Video of the Moment #376: Elbow

By on Tuesday, 4th January 2011 at 6:00 pm

We all make mistakes. Take Elbow‘s Guy Garvey, for instance. The Manchester frontman was, shall we say, a little under the influence around the Christmas holidays when he accidentally revealed the title of his band’s forthcoming album, ‘build a rocket, boys!’, which will be released on the 7th of March (more details here).

Below is the studio performance of ‘Lippy Kids’, for a while thought to be the title of the new Elbow album, but thanks to a festive, helpful pint of Guinness, we now know better. As one of the early YouTube viewers of this vid commented, “Guy Garvey could sing the phone book and make it sound beautiful”. I heartily concur.
