Video of the Moment #425: Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys have offered up a new track, ‘Brick by Brick’, and below, you can watch its video. Some people are saying Alex Turner has added a grittier, Josh Homme-esque edge to his voice. Personally, I think it’s like he’s following cues from his Last of the Shadow Puppets’ collaborator Miles Kane, and the Monkeys appear to be turning to a darker, soulful sound, away from their more straight-forward poppish rock roots. The fourth Arctic Monkeys album is rumoured to drop sometime in spring or summer 2011, and the band will be headlining V Festival in April.
