MP3 of the Day #352: Get People

As if we needed another electronic / tropical sounding band. (Not that I’m complaining, mind you. It’s summer, so it makes sense that sunny bands are on the way in, and in droves.) Enter Get People, a three-piece from London. They’re going to have an EP out in July called ‘Rain Tears’, but in advance of that release, they want to give away a track from it, called ‘Away’. There’s handclaps and an r&b sultriness to this dance track that makes it more soulful than bubblegum pop. And the tropical element? Cackling birds and ethereal synths that sound like they’re from the islands. Good stuff.
