Heavyfeet is the collective name for Mike Burgess and James Medina, a Manchester powerhouse DJ/production duo. Summer just started on Tuesday, so it’s perfect timing to be dropping this downloadable summer mix of top tunes – nearly an hour and a half of great music – for your listening pleasure, rain (yes, I’m looking at you, Glasto) or shine. I’ve been given some preliminary details about a remix project Heavyfeet will be working on in the month of July in conjunction with eight Manchester-based bands, BBC Introducing and BBC Radio Manchester. I don’t know which bands are participating, but as you can imagine with my love of many indie bands in Manchester, I am very, very, very anxious to find out! And you can be sure that we’ll be bringing you more news about this project as it becomes available.
