10 for 2012 – Which bands will shine next year?

It’s hard to believe we’re nearing the end of 2011, isn’t it? As TGTF prepares for another year of great music coverage, we’re turning to you to tell us who you think will be the 10 artists that will be massive in 2012. We’re looking for the best talent to keep on our radar in the new year. They can be established bands that you think will leap to superstardom with their upcoming album releases. Or newer bands that have yet to hit the big time but you think 2012 is their year. Or any band in between.
The choice is yours: you nominate five artists, and the 10 artists who receive the most votes will place in the overall top 10. Each band you nominate will be given equal weighting, and all entries are completely anonymous. You can enter up to five artists on the form – you can also enter fewer if you so want.
Unfortunately, there are no prizes for this poll, just bragging rights for any band who gets into the top 10. Like in previous years, we will endeavour to get a few words from each of the winners after we’ve determined the final list.
Need some guidance? In 2010 Delphic was voted the band going to hit it big in the new year (see the full 10 for 2010 list here); in 2011, the honour went to Mona (see the full 10 for 2011 list here).
The poll is now closed. Stay tuned for the winning bands to be announced in the coming weeks. Thanks for voting!
