Video of the Moment #795: Van Susans

I had the distinct pleasure of seeing Van Susans perform at a charity gig in a pub in Biggin Hill this past Sunday afternoon, and they played their new single, ‘Fireworks’. Below is the promo video of the song; I’ve been advised that they spent a good 300 pounds on the pyrotechnics. The song itself is just another great example of their deft songwriting.
Their debut album ‘Paused in the Moment’ will be released in July and I heard from the band yesterday they’ll be appearing on a BBC radio programme around that time to talk about the album. Exciting times, I couldn’t be happier for them.
The band will be making appearances at the International Pop Overthrow festival in Liverpool this week, playing a headline gig at the Cavern Club at 8 PM on Saturday 19 May and at Eric’s at 3:30 PM on Sunday 20 May. More information on this Liverpool IPO, as well as a London version happening later in May, are here.
