(Jubilee Guilty Pleasure!) Video of the Moment #825: All Saints

Editor’s note: do not adjust your screen. Yes, we’re airing some of our (and some of your!) favourite song guilty pleasures in video form this Jubilee weekend. The bands were featuring are largely not the kind we write about here on TGTF, but we wanted to do something new and cool over this 4-day weekend. Come along for the crazy ride and enjoy.
Our London via Lincoln writer Luke suggested this next one, All Saints‘ ‘Pure Shores’. A little trivia: it was written specifically for and appeared in the Leonard diCaprio film and reached #1 on the UK singles chart in 2000. If you’re looking for a reason to buy the soundtrack, another bit of trivia: it was co-produced by the legend himself, Pete Tong. But let us not forget that All Saints still stand as one of the most successful British groups of the ’90s. Along with the Spice Girls, they opened the world up to more pop princesses to come.
