Video of the Moment #1345: Manic Street Preachers

Welsh band Manic Street Preachers‘ latest video is for ‘Anthem for a Lost Cause’. The visual is very powerful, recalling the South Wales miners’ strike of 1984-1985 in opposition of then PM Margaret Thatcher’s job cutting policies, while also running an accompanying story of a young woman who suffers from her own ‘losses’ in life and then finds strength in the movement. Really well done, the storyline, interspersed with actual footage from the time, gave me chills. Watch it below.
