I was going through the TGTF archives and I was surprised the last time we’d written about M.I.A. was for her 2012 video for ‘Bad Girls’. I was in the mood for something beat heavy this morning, so here for your sonic enjoyment (more than the visual, because I think the promo itself is pretty much a snooze), here is M.I.A.’s ‘YALA’, utilising those trippy colours otherwise usually commandeered by the current reborn psychedelic scene.
