Video of the Moment #1780: Public Service Broadcasting

In February, groundbreaking duo in tweed, spectacles and bowties Public Service Broadcasting released their second album, ‘The Race for Space’, honouring the legacy of and sacrifices made by the pioneers of spaceflight. It’s a fantastic album (and if you don’t believe me, read my review) and includes guest vocals from London’s girl duo Smoke Fairies on track ‘Valentina’, written for Russia’s first cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova. The promo for the song is entirely appropriate for PSB’s love of taking archival things and shining a light on them, as the video is comprised of clips of Tereshkova’s hard work and glory
I chatted to Public Service Broadcasting‘s J. Willgoose, Esq. about their collaboration with the lovely Smoke Fairies and the relaxed circumstances of recording of their vocals for ‘Valentina’ in my interview with him at SXSW 2015; have a listen to our chat here.
