Syracuse, New York indie band Ra Ra Riot have revealed details to their fourth album ‘Need Your Light’, which will see the light of day (no pun intended) on the 19th of February 2016 on Barsuk Records. ‘Water’, a previously unveiled track from the new LP that has gone on to receive airplay on Zane Lowe’s show on Beats1 and some of the most influential radio stations in America, now has a promo video of its own. Lead singer of Ra Ra Riot Wes Miles explains the concept of the video:

It was shot anamorphic in one day in Joshua Tree and L.A. The concept came from Rostam [Batmanglij, of NYC band Vampire Weekend], the co-writer and producer of the song. We actually started talking about this video as we were still imagining and writing the story in the song. The concept of a weary hitchhiker coming out of the desert toward Los Angeles informed the final lyrics, so it really feels like an extension of the song.

Watch the chilled out promo video below. Ra Ra Riot have been recently announced as one of the big names to grace the Savannah Stopover Festival in Georgia in March; read Carrie’s preview of the event here.
