Video of the Moment #1990: Grimes

By on Wednesday, 20th January 2016 at 6:00 pm

You’d be hard pressed to guess the next move of Claire Boucher, aka electronic superstar Grimes. However, Boucher is known as a keen gamer, so I guess it was just a matter of time before she rolled out a video that portrays a playful homage to the virtual and fantasy words that she loves. Described as “easily…the lovechild of early solo Gwen Stefani and Charli XCX” by our Steven in his review of Grimes’ most recent album for 4AD, ‘Art Angels’, Boucher revels hanging out (literally) out of a pink convertible with all her fantasy friends in the promo for ‘Kill V. Maim’. Watch it below.

‘Art Angels’ was released in November 2015 and is available now. To take a stroll through our past coverage of Grimes on TGTF, check out this link.
