Video of the Moment #2060: Death Cab for Cutie

Portland’s Death Cab for Cutie released their newest album ‘Kintsugi’. It’s their 8th and their last with founding member and lead guitarist Chris Walla, who announced his departure during the recordings sessions for the LP, though not wanting to leave his bandmates in the lurch, he stayed on to see the album through until its completion. The latest music video from the now trio is for the ‘Kintsugi’ track ‘Good Help (Is So Hard to Find)’, and it’s an animated video that I’m viewing as a nod to David Bowie, as a ‘starman’ makes good. Watch it below. For more on the band on TGTF, go here.
In peripherally-related Death Cab for Cutie news, the most successful of indie bands of recent history to be inspired by Death Cab, Two Door Cinema Club, returned to the live stage last night in Galway, under a pseudonym that seemed to suggest they were a cover band.
