Video of the Moment #2065: Foals

To follow the reveal of new song ‘Rain’ last month to preview their Record Store Day single release, Oxford festival favourites Foals now have a promo video to go with it.

It’s actually lower-fi in presentation than their most arresting video in the last year, ‘Mountain at My Gates’ from their 2015 album ‘What Went Down’, but follows the DIY flavour of the video for ‘Birch Tree’ unveiled in January. One better, it was filmed live at La Fabrique in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, and by ex-Trophy Wife drummer Kit Monteith. What I find funny about this video is that if I didn’t know it was Foals, I would have imagined this could have been any random dude filmed performing at Black Cat Backstage with a low-budget projection slide reel. Watch it below. TGTF content on Foals is this way.
