Video of the Moment #2078: Clay

Leeds young pop outfit Clay have revealed the promo video for new single ‘Stay Calm!’, which is out now. It follows 12 months on from the release of their debut single ‘Sun Dance’. The Yorkshire band say that when writing the song, they had in mind artists they admire, like the late Michael Jackson, and acknowledge “obvious nods with the groove of the track.” Further, here’s how the band describes the song’s lyrics, in their own words:
The song is written from an obsessive viewpoint – the idealistic thought of being in love. One of the lines ‘Im not gonna change the world overnight’ is almost justification for the lyric it precedes, that sort of unsure/indecisive mindset. But whatever, Stay Calm!
In the promo video for ‘Stay Calm!’, the groove ends up affecting the visuals, as you’ll see below. The band appeared Saturday in their hometown for Live at Leeds 2016 and I’m sure there will be summer appearances on the horizon for this young band too.
