Video of the Moment #2414: Annie Hart
Her band Au Revoir Simone might be on hiatus, but band member Annie Hart has used the time off wisely and in another artistic direction. Hart has stepped out on her own and will be releasing her debut solo album very soon. (‘Impossible Accomplice’ was supposed to be out last Friday, the 28th of July, but the release date has now been pushed back to the 15th of September.) A few weeks ago, Carrie reviewed single ‘I Don’t Want Your Love’ from the LP; you can read her critique through here. Today, we have for you the video for ‘Hard to Be Still’, in which a bespectacled Hart stands in front of a tapestry in her basement, plays bass and manages to look adorably awkward singing the song. Watch it below. We’ll look forward to finally hearing ‘Impossible Accomplice’ in full next month.
