Video of the Moment #2418: BAIO
Electronic producer and DJ BAIO – Chris Baio, who is (was?) previously better known as the bassist of Vampire Weekend – released his second album in June. You can read my review of ‘Man of the World’ through this link. What comes across loud and clear in his second solo record is that 1) he doesn’t take himself too seriously, and 2) he doesn’t mind laughing at himself. For the promo video for the title track, he takes a figurative trip to far-flung places, playing all manner of instruments and grooving to the music. Apparently, he’s quite proud of his moonwalk.
