Video of the Moment #2433: The Flaming Lips
Perpetual weirdos – er, free spirits? – The Flaming Lips released their latest album, their fourteenth, earlier this year. The difficult to pronounce ‘Oczy Mlody’, reportedly Polish for “eyes of the young”, has spawned some interesting singles up to this point. Now they’ve taken another track from the LP and as you might expect from those who follow a different drummer, they’ve created a 10-minute epic video for ‘Almost Home (Blisko Domu)’, in which Wayne Coyne visits a strange, bedazzled woman. And that’s probably the least weird scene of this video. My guess is you’re probably going to get to the end of this video and wonder where those 10 minutes went and say to yourself, “what the heck did I just watch?” If you dare, watch it below.
