Video of the Moment #2795: Editors

Veteran London alt-rock band Editors have just unveiled another edgy new promo video from their upcoming LP ‘Violence’, due out on the 9th of March via PIAS. The latest track from ‘Violence’ is titled ‘Hallelujah (So Low)’, and it continues both the emotional tone and and the expanded musical style of previous single ‘Magazine’.
Though guitars feature prominently in Rahi Rezvani‘s visual representation of ‘Hallelujah (So Low)’, it’s the synths and the layered vocal effects that make the major first aural impression. The instrumental arrangement behind the verses is slick and cooly atmospheric, but even more chilling is Tom Smith’s ominous drawl in the title lyric, which is guaranteed to send shivers up your spine. To accompany the premiere of new video, Smith gave an interview to Billboard’s Bryan Kress, which you can read through this link. Watch the promo video for ‘Hallelujah (So Low)’ just below.
