Video of the Moment #2892: First Aid Kit

By on Monday, 10th September 2018 at 6:00 pm

Swedish sisters First Aid Kit started 2018 with a new album, their fourth, ‘Ruins’. This month, they’ve got a new video for a song from it, for opening track ‘Rebel Heart’. For creating the video, worked with their friend and director Mats Udd on a video that looks like an outtake from The Handmaid’s Tale. Klara and Johanna Soderberg explain: “It’s a song about identity and femininity. It’s about the destroyer we all have inside of us, that dark force that wants to take over. We wanted to only feature women in the video – the red moon represents a sense of sisterhood.” Watch the new video for ‘Rebel Heart’ below. Not willing to rest on their laurels and stardom, the sisters will be releasing another collection of songs this week. Catch ‘Tender Offerings’ this Friday on Columbia Records.
