Katy Perry / February 2009 UK Shows

By on Thursday, 30th October 2008 at 4:31 pm

Yes, I know her tunes are cheap, commercially minded and really rather rubbish. And that her first single was possibly the most heavily marketed piece of drivel known to mankind. However, I kinda like Katy Perry‘s new single, Hot ‘n’ Cold. I feel wrong and dirty for merely admitting this, but even so, it is a piece of pop goodness.

Looking beyond the superficialness of her music however, she’s bringing her show back to the UK next February for two shows as she continues to plug her new album.

Reportedly she’s the female Mika, so expect a good show, even if you feel guilty as anything the next morning.

Tickets for both dates go on sale tomorrow morning (Friday 31st October 2008) at 9am, so go go go, pop fans.

Wednesday 25th February 2009 – Manchester Academy 2
Thursday 26th February 2009 – London Koko

Eric Clapton / May 2009 UK Shows

By on Thursday, 30th October 2008 at 4:08 pm

He may be an old legend, but I’ve never been a huge fan of Eric Clapton – sure, he’s a genius, but his musical direction isn’t my cup of tea.

Even so, he’s announced a string of dates around the UK next May, inlcuding a sizeable run at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Tickets are on sale now, though some of the London dates have already sold out (presumably to the 50 year old fanboys).

Prices range from £55 to £75. So get the credit card out, and catch him at the below dates:

Wednesday 13th May 2009 – Liverpool Echo Arena
Thursday 14th May 2009 – Manchester Evening News Arena
Saturday 16th May 2009 – London Royal Albert Hall
Sunday 17th May 2009 – London Royal Albert Hall
Tuesday 19th May 2009 – London Royal Albert Hall
Wednesday 20th May 2009 – London Royal Albert Hall
Friday 22nd May 2009 – London Royal Albert Hall
Saturday 23rd May 2009 – London Royal Albert Hall
Monday 25th May 2009 – London Royal Albert Hall
Tuesday 26th May 2009 – London Royal Albert Hall
