Whichever side of the fence you are on when it comes to Arcade Fire, you’ve got to give it to them for effort: they’ll be releasing a new film called The Reflektor Tapes in the near future. This past week, they released a sort of prequel to the film, in the form of a promo backed by their song ‘Porno’. I never try to guess what Win Butler et al. are thinking, because I’m probably going to be completely way off of their weird thinking, so make your own decision about this supposed prequel by watching ‘Porno’ below.
The Reflektor Tapes is scheduled to be out on the 24th of September. All things Arcade Fire on TGTF is this way.

Wherever you will be hanging your hat this weekend, whether you’re joining the sheep at Worthy Farm or you’ve got your feet up in front of the telly, us here at TGTF will have you covered when it comes to Glastonbury 2014. The dedicated people they are, the folks at the BBC will be working all hours during the festival and feeding us live coverage as it becomes available. What does this mean for you? We’ll be passing along all the best bits to you, our faithful readers.
I’m still not sure about Arcade Fire myself (pretentious much?), but you really can’t beat the feeling at Glastonbury when fireworks are launched during their headline set at the Pyramid Stage, can you? At least Win Butler didn’t require his audience at Worthy Farm to wear fancy dress to this performance. Best leave that to Bestival, yeah? Watch their performance of ‘Reflektor’ below.
For more of the BBC’s Glastonbury coverage online, head this way. Stay tuned for more videos from Glasto 2014 right here on TGTF.

Montreal’s Arcade Fire have released the promo video for their next single, the third off ‘Reflektor’, their #1 chart topping album that dropped last year. The visual examining “dealing with prejudice and acceptance” for ‘We Exist’ features actor Andrew Garfield.
The band have also announced a massive Hyde Park show for Thursday the 3rd of July. The supports for the night will be Jake Bugg, Great Escape 2014 headliners Wild Beasts and American SXSW 2014 hyped band Future Islands.

Try as you might, you can’t escape from Arcade Fire, can you? Continuing their media onslaught is the latest promo video for ‘Afterlife’, a nearly 8-minute long mini-film that does not feature the band themselves. I’ll be honest, the song is getting overplayed on 6music, so I’m sick of the song, but if you’re not sick of it yet, watch the video below.

Sick of Arcade Fire yet? If yes, sorry. You have my condolences. (To be honest, I am… ::whistles::) However, their PR machine is going strong, and the latest thing to come off the pipeline is the promo for ‘Afterlife’, from their band’s lauded ‘Reflektor’ album. Watch it below.

This past Saturday, Canadian band Arcade Fire appeared on American late night weekend programme Saturday Night Live to preview some new songs – ‘Here Comes The Night Time,’ ‘We Exist’ and ‘Normal Person’ – in this Roman Coppola-directed free for all. This seems like such a WTF moment to me, but maybe you beg to differ. Watch it below.
