Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls / November and December 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Fresh from their opening slot on the main stage at Reading and Leeds 2016, indefatigable folk-punk troubadour Frank Turner and his band The Sleeping Souls have announced a massive list of tour dates for the UK and Ireland at the end of this year. Dubbed the ‘Get Better Tour 2016’, the new slate of live dates begins in Dublin on the 16th of November and wraps up in Portsmouth on the 14th of December.

Slaves / November 2016 UK Tour

Kent punk rock duo Slaves have announced details of their forthcoming new album ‘Take Control’, along with a list of live dates to follow its release. ‘Take Control’ is due out on the 30th of September on Virgin EMI, and its surprise first single ‘Spit It Out’ is streaming just below the tour date listing.

The Divine Comedy / October 2016 and February 2017 UK/Irish Tour

Following on from the initial announcement in May, The Divine Comedy has added on another London date to his previously announced UK and Irish tour for October 2016 and February 2017. The continuing solo project of legendary Northern Irish singer/songwriter Neil Hannon will be adding another album to its now massive back catalogue of work: on the 2nd of September, he will be releasing ‘Foreverland’, his first true Divine Comedy album since 2010’s ‘Bang Goes the Knighthood’. (Hannon has been busy with plenty of other things in the meantime, including co-penning the second album for the cricket-themed act The Duckworth Lewis Method; composed a choral work for the newly renovated organ in the Royal Festival Hall, entitled ‘To Our Fathers in Distress’; and oversaw the transfer of his musical Swallows And Amazons to the West End stage. ::cough, wheeze::)

Tickets to all the shows below are on sale but be forewarned, some of these venues are pretty small (I’m still shaking my head at Sheffield Foundry in particular), several dates are already sold out, and the first London Palladium date sold out in less than 48 hours. In other words, be quick!

Savages / February and March 2016 UK Tour

Post-punk quartet Savages have announced a short list of February tour dates in the UK, in support of their upcoming sophomore album ‘Adore Life’, which is due for release on the 22nd of January 2016 via Matador Records.  You can read our own Nick’s review of the album’s first single ‘The Answer’ right back here.

In addition to the initial February run of dates, Savages will bring their live show to the London Roundhouse on the 17th of March.  Tickets for the following shows are available now.

Hot on the heels of three recent well-received and sold out UK shows, Everything Everything have just announced a full November tour of the UK. The band’s new album ‘Get to Heaven’ is due for release on the 15th of June, and around the release date they will make festival appearances at Liverpool Sound City, T in the Park, and Reading and Leeds. Tickets for the following headline shows go on sale tomorrow, Friday the 17th of April, at 9 AM.

Stornoway / April and May 2015 UK Tour

Oxford band Stornoway have revealed a full April and May 2015 UK tour. This follows on from their previously announced date at London Islington Assembly Hall on the 23rd of April, and their most recent sold out performances at Oxford Sheldonian Theatre in November. All dates below except for the London show will be on sale this Friday, the 12th of December. The band will also be making at appearance at 2015 festival Live at Leeds.

Stornoway’s third album, with a title yet to be revealed, was produced by Gil Norton (Pixies, Pulled Apart By Horses, Foo Fighters, Twin Atlantic) and is expected to drop sometime in April 2015. Previous coverage of the band on TGTF is this way.
