Nick Mulvey / September and October 2017 UK/Irish Tour

It’s been awhile since we wrote about Nick Mulvey here at TGTF. The folk singer/songwriter has been relatively quiet the last two years, but he resurfaced at Glastonbury last weekend. Following that performance, Mulvey has announced a new album and a list of tour dates in the UK and Ireland to support its release. The new LP, titled ‘Wake Up Now’, is due out on the 8th of September via Fiction Records and will include two already released singles, ‘Unconditional’ and ‘Myela’. You can watch the promo video for ‘Unconditional’ just below the tour date listing.

Tickets for the following UK and Irish shows will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, the 30th of June, at 9 AM. For those of you across the pond, a U.S. tour announcement is said to be forthcoming. TGTF’s previous coverage of Nick Mulvey is right through here.

Wolf Alice / November 2017 UK/Irish Tour

Good news, Wolf Alice fans. They have a new album out this autumn. The follow-up to their 2015 debut ‘My Love is Cool’, ‘Visions of a Life’, will be out on the 29th of September on Dirty Hit Records. They’ll be out on tour in the UK and Ireland in November to support this upcoming long player. Tickets to the tour dates listed below are on sale tomorrow, the 16th of June, at 9 AM. To have a punch in the face taste of the album, you can watch first track and purposely incendiary ‘Yuk Foo’ through here, which isn’t for the faint of heart; I won’t be posting it here. Neil Hannon’s very existence will always be linked to the band he has fronted and masterminded for over 2 decades, The Divine Comedy. Saint Etienne / June 2017 UK Tour

Bob Stanley, Pete Wiggs and Sarah Cracknell, known collectively as long-soldiering dance pop band Saint Etienne, will be releasing their ninth album on Friday. ‘Home Counties’ is a love letter to the London commuter belt where they were born and raised, and the new long player will be available from Heavenly Recordings / PIAS on the 2nd of June. (Stay tuned for a review of the LP by me later this week.) Following an appearance at Primavera Festival Wednesday in Barcelona, they return to Britain to being a new UK tour in London to support their new record. Royal Blood / November 2017 UK/Irish Tour

Brighton hard rock duo Royal Blood have announced a new UK and Ireland tour for the second half of November. This tour will follow a handful of dates on the Continent in late October into early November. Tickets to this arena tour will go on general sale at 9 AM next Friday, the 26th of May. The duo, comprised of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher, are gearing up, to release their second album ‘How Did We Get So Dark?’ on the 16th of June on Warner Brothers.
