Live Gig Video: Brandt Brauer Frick and friends at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin

By on Thursday, 22nd September 2011 at 2:00 pm

The German c.sides label gave 10 diverse artists and bands the task to create exclusive new works that all shared one goal: to make a humble contribution toward making this world a better, more just and beautiful place simply by doing what they can do best: to make art and create music, and to embark on a mission of re-exploring the notion of meaning and impact in and through music. Artists had full freedom in their creative process, with the label only providing general guidelines regarding the project’s concept and an intended timeframe of 10 to 15 minutes, encouraging artists to work with different musical means than they usually would.

The performance we present to you today is of the song ‘Schwan’ (“swan” in German) and features Berlin’s Brandt Brauer Frick, London producer Gold Panda, Cologne, Germany electronica artist Glitterbug, Enas Massalha, Casper Clausen and Mads Brauer of Copenhagen band Efterklang Jasmina Maschina, Khan, Eliad Wagner, Christian Löffler and John Kameel Farah, all playing together on their contribution to c.sides’ 2 CD release on Monday. Details of the release are here.
