Famed Detroit techno producer Carl Craig, who has influenced bands from Friendly Fires and We Have Band, is bringing the big sound of his seminal record label, Planet E, to London’s Ewer Street Warehouse for a one night only, one of a kind dance party on Saturday, the 5th of March. The occasion? It’s the label’s 20th birthday, and Craig wants to celebrate this one in style. In addition to Craig himself spinning (reported to be his only London show of 2011), there are highly anticipated DJ sets by Francois Kevorkian, Radio Slave, Paul Woolford and Irish duo Psycatron also scheduled.
TGTF has a pair of tickets to give away for this special party. This contest is now closed and the winner will be contacted soon.

Dance trio We Have Band have been grooving it across the UK this month in support of their just-released debut album ‘WHB’, and are now set to head off on a European tour in a couple days. We’ve got something cool to share with you – a fab remix of their song ‘Divisive’ from no other than famed Detroit techno producer Carl Craig. I can see the kids now, shaking a tail feather to this monster of a remix. Wooo!
I should probably also note here that the three-piece made a big fuss a couple days ago, complaining that people have been calling them a “Manchester trio” when in fact only one of their members hails from the Northern city. (More funny was a fan’s jokey response of “Mancunian + his Shell Suit = A 3piece”. Hahaha.)

We Have Band’s debut album ‘WHB’ was released earlier this month and is available now. You can read a review of the album previously posted on TGTF here.
