The Courteeners‘ December UK tour is pretty much sold out and I know there are a lot of you out there disappointed. Leeds band Pigeon Detectives returned to the music scene this spring with their latest album, ‘We Met at Sea’, out now on Cooking Vinyl. The band just started a massive tour this past week in Scotland, and they’ll be stopping in London next Wednesday the 30th of October at Koko. Why are we telling you this? Because we’ve blagged a pair of tix to the event, that’s why. And we want a lucky TGTF reader and a guest to experience their live show on us. Keen? Fabulous! Two weeks ago we previewed this year’s Lodestar Festival, featuring headliners Dragonette (pictured at top), Ryan Keen and The Joy Formidable. And as previously promised, we’ve got a Lodestar-flavoured competition for you!

The organisers of Lodestar have kindly given us a pair of weekend festival passes, including camping, to give away to a lucky TGTF reader and his/her guest. Want to win? Exeter blues/punk band The Computers will be releasing their second album ‘Love Triangles Hate Squares’ on the 29th of April on One Little Indian, so it makes perfect sense that the group will be touring in support of it in May and June. So what does the tour have to do with TGTF? We’ve managed to blag a pair each to their London 100 Club (Wednesday the 8th of May) and Manchester Deaf Institute (Saturday the 11th of May) shows and we want to give them away to two lucky TGTF readers. You’re asking yourself, how do I win a pair of these tickets? Well, keep on reading…

We’ve been banging on about the lovely Bo Bruce quite a lot here at TGTF lately. The rising star will be releasing her debut album ‘Before I Sleep’ on the 29th of April on Mercury, and ahead of that, boy, we’ve got a very special prize for those Bo Bruce devotees out there.

Ms. Bruce will be doing a very special, very intimate show at the London Social in Islington next Tuesday the 16th of April. Are you just dying to go? Well, we’ve come to your aid.
