Pixies / November and December 2016 UK Tour

American alt-rock behemoths Pixies have announced a series of live dates in the UK for the end of November into the start of December 2016. Black Francis and co. have officially announced that touring bass player Paz Lenchantin is now a full member of their band. This new tour will follow the release of their upcoming album ‘Head Carrier’, which is expected out on the 30th of September on Pixies Music / PIAS. The new LP was produced by Tom Dalgety, who is most famous around TGTF for producing Royal Blood and Broken Hands‘ debut albums. Twin Atlantic / October and December 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Glaswegian alt-rock quartet Twin Atlantic will support the upcoming release of their new album ‘GLA’ with a tour of the UK and Ireland later this year. The October portion of the tour will focus on England and Wales, including a stop at the Manchester Neighbourhood Festival on Saturday the 8th of October. December will see Twin Atlantic moving on to Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, finishing the tour with 3 consecutive nights at the Glasgow Barrowland.

Twin Atlantic’s new album ‘GLA’ is due for release on the 9th of September and will include the BBC Radio 1 playlisted single ‘No Sleep’. You can catch a quick preview of ‘No Sleep’ just below the tour date listing. Tickets for the following shows will go on sale this Friday, the 15th of July at 9 AM.

The 1975 / December 2016 UK Tour

Mancunian indie pop sensations The 1975 have just announced a year-ending tour of the UK, in support of their long-titled long player ‘I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful, yet so unaware of it’. The latest single from the album is the angst-ridden track ‘Somebody Else’, and its likewise lengthy new video can be viewed just below the tour date listing.

The 1975’s December tour will include two nights at the O2 Arena in London, the second of which was previously announced and has already sold out. Tickets for the remaining shows listed below will be available for fan presale on Wednesday the 13th of July, but only if you sign up for the band’s mailing list. General sale will begin on Friday, the 15th of July, at 9 AM.

Frightened Rabbit / November and December 2016 English Tour

Scotland’s Frightened Rabbit have extended the tour cycle for their latest album ‘Painting of a Panic Attack’ with a new list of live dates in England for the end of this year. Addressing the rather conspicuous lack of Scottish dates in the following list, the band have hinted that something special is in the works for Scottish fans. Keep your eyes on their official Web site and Facebook for further details. Frightened Rabbit have also announced new live dates for North America, which are listed here.

Tickets for the newly added English shows listed below will go on sale today, Friday the 17th of June, at 10 AM.  Just below the tour date listing, you can watch Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison’s solo version of ‘Die Like a Rich Boy’, which he also performed at the Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix last month. Foy Vance / November and December 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Northern Irish troubadour extraordinaire Foy Vance has announced a string of late autumn live dates in the UK and Ireland, in support of his upcoming new album ‘The Wild Swan’. The album is due out on the 13th of May via Ed Sheeran‘s record label Gingerbread Man Records, and editor Mary recently featured the album’s lead promo for ‘She Burns’ as our Video of the Moment #2071.

Vance will play an already sold out show at London’s Hoxton Hall on the 12th of May, ahead of June tour dates in Europe supporting Elton John. Following his summer festival appearances, which will include Latitude 2016 in July, Vance will hit North America for a list of dates supporting Josh Groban and Sarah McLachlan. He’ll spend the early part of September touring Australia with Kyle Lionhart before returning to America for headline dates running through the end of October.
