By on Monday, 8th December 2008 at 3:52 pm

Morrissey has announced a full 12 date UK tour next May playing some more interesting locations around the UK.

The living legend is including two London shows in his tour, playing the Brixton Academy and the Mile End Troxy Ballroom, a venue I haven’t come across before and one that sounds amazing from what I’ve read.

The tour is in support of his new album, Years of Refusal, which is due out in early 2009.

The Cribs have announced details of their comeback UK tour, road testing new material in smaller venues before they go away to record a new album with new member Johnny Marr.

It’s just a short tour, but no doubt a fuller UK tour will come later in the year as they get more into the swing of things with Marr.

By on Monday, 15th September 2008 at 5:55 pm

Catch them at the following nights:

Wednesday 17th December – ‘Hope Is Important’ and Others
Thursday 18th December – ‘100 Broken Windows’
Friday 19th December – ‘The Remote Part’
Saturday 20th December – ‘Warnings/Promises’ and Acoustic set
Sunday 21st December – ‘Captain’ and ‘Make Another World’.

The Verve / November / Tour

By on Tuesday, 26th June 2007 at 4:57 pm

Richard Ashcroft - The VerveThe Verve have announced that they’ll be reforming for a new tour and album in November this year. The band split acromoniously in 1999 when Richard Ashcroft and Nick McCabe fell out.

If only I was in the country I’d be there. A bit gutted that I’m not, as they’ll be awesome shows (if they’re still all on talking terms by then). It’ll be interesting to see what their new album is like, and if they can come out with anything anywhere near as good as Urban Hymns. They’ll play:

Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd November – Glasgow Academy
Monday 5th, Tuesday 6th November – Blackpool Empress Ballroom
Thursday 8th, Friday 9th November – London Roundhouse

Tickets are on sale NEXT Friday, July 6th at 9am.
