Long-standing Brooklyn group Grizzly Bear released their newest album this past summer. ‘Painted Ruins’ is available now from RCA Records. The band have a new video out for ‘Losing All Senses’, where frontman and primary songwriter Ed Droste enlisted the help of a few famous friends, tv’s Busy Philipps and trans actress Aunt Freckle. Grizzly Bear will be releasing their fifth album next month. ‘Painted Ruins’ will be released by the Brooklyn band on the 18th of August on RCA Records. ‘Neighbors’ is the latest track from the upcoming LP to be unveiled, and it now has its own music video. The treatment is a bit kooky, but when have Grizzly Bear ever done anything by the book? Watch it below. For more of out coverage here on TGTF on the alt-rock group, go here.

Grizzly Bear latest album, 2012’s ‘Shields’, was released to critical acclaim. The album clearly still has legs, as two more related releases followed it, ‘Shields Expanded’ and ‘Shields: B-Sides’, having dropped last week on Warp Records. This Diplo reworking of ‘Will Calls’ from the B-sides collection is now being offered up by the band as a free download. Listen to it and download it from the Soundcloud widget below.

Grizzly Bear have released the new and very strange video for ‘Gun-Shy’. If you’re afraid of doctors, hospital, etc. you might want to look away. Even I, who worked in many labs as a biology student, was borderline shuddering during this. Still though, I give them a lot of credit for taking a risk and doing something entirely unpredictable here.

Fancy a free mp3 from Grizzly Bear? ‘Gun-Shy’, from the American band’s 2012 album ‘Shields’ released last September, has been remixed by legendary Norwegian producer Lindstrom, and the band want you to have it for absolutely nothing. Listen to and grab the mp3 below. Groovy, man.

Grizzly Bear, who released their latest album ‘Shields’ just a couple weeks ago, have redone a couple of songs from the new album, just in time for the holidays.
The ‘video’ is nothing more than a collection of ‘happy’ and ‘zen’-type photos – you know, photos of Earth from space, hot air balloons, dogs playing poker (what???) – that you get in your email as PowerPoint slide shows, usually set to classical music. (Or maybe it’s just me who gets these PowerPoints, sent to me by my mum). Either way, have a listen to these reworkings, done instrumentally and with prominent piano.
