If you recall back in the summer (yes it was a long time ago now!), we gave away tickets to an Original Penguin Plugged in session starring Nick Mulvey and THUMPERS at the Hospital Club in London. We’ve got a live gig video from the June night of the alt-pop THUMPERS performing their song ‘Galore’, which you can enjoy below.
The band recently concluded their support slot with Klaxons, playing a massive show at London Shepherd’s Bush Empire this past Sunday night.

It’s Friday, so I thought, why not post something fun and dancey to get you in the mood for the weekend? Oxford’s Glass Animals have released another live video from their exemplary performance at London Meltdown Festival back in June. In August, we posted the film of ‘Black Mambo’ from the night filmed by cinematographer Georgio Testi. This time, it’s of their upcoming single ‘Hazey’, which will be released on the 13th of October, smack dab in the middle of their next UK tour.
Glass Animals are currently in America, finishing up a tour with sold out shows in San Francisco tonight, followed by back to back sold out gigs in Los Angeles over the weekend. Their next UK tour begins next Friday, the 10th of October, at Liverpool Magnet; tickets to the tour are on sale now except for London Oval, which has sold out. The band also announced this week a new UK tour for March 2015, with tickets on sale now. The new tour includes their largest show to date at London Shepherds Bush Empire on Tuesday the 10th of March; the band promises they have “some cool plans for that one.” Quite tempting…

Glass Animals were one of the bands chosen to perform at this year’s Meltdown Festival, curated in 2014 by UNKLE‘s James Lavelle. The annual event in London takes place at the Southbank Centre and back in June, the Oxford band’s appearance had the distinction of having the most jungle-y backdrop of their career so far, with indoor lush vegetation to set the mood, along with the usual requisite fog and strobes seen at their shows.

Watford rockers Lower Than Atlantis have just released this live video of them performing new track ‘Ain’t No Friend’ live. It was filmed at a special Xperia Access Live show in June that also starred Klaxons. The track appears on the band’s self-titled yet third album ‘Lower Than Atlantis’, which will drop on the 29th of September on Easy Life/ Sony Red. Watch the performance below.
Also included below (the more!) is the promo video for ‘Here We Go’, the LP’s lead single out this week. The group are currently in the midst of a UK tour; all the details are this way.
