When it was announced a while ago that Lana Del Rey had been contracted to be the new face for H&M, I thought maybe we’d been granted a reprieve: she’s quit music! Not exactly. She performed ‘Blue Velvet’, a song I was subjected far too much to in my younger years because of my mother’s love for Bobby Vinton. While this video is mostly showing off H&M’s new wares, there is a snippet of Del Rey singing in her usual style – and moving her arms in the same way she always does. Watch it below.

Just when you thought Lana Del Rey wanted out of the music business, out pops the promo for ‘Summertime Sadness’. More grainy images, but instead this one is about a lesbian couple and a tragic end. Like we need more Lana Del Rey drama… This is pretty disturbing.

Even when she’s whinging about people dissing her, you can’t help not groan at news related to Lana Del Rey; it’s like watching a train wreck. She has a new video for ‘National Anthem’, purposely filmed in a lo-fi fashion and as a nod to Marilyn Monroe, Jackie O and JFK (played by rapper ASAP Rocky, Vanity Fair, interracial coupling *and* inappropriate PDA. (I guess?) Watch it below, because I can’t.

I honestly could not bear to post this on a weekday. But I suppose if you’re up early in your jammies, eating your brekky, this new Lana Del Rey video for ‘Blue Jeans’ could be entertaining on a Saturday morning. Tattoos, half-naked people and compromising positions: are we sensing a theme in her videos, folks?
