Video of the Moment #257: Robots in Disguise
While you may only recognize them from the Mighty Boosh (they’ve had several cameos on the show) electro duo Robots in Disguise‘s music can more than stand on its own. They’re currently hard at work on their fourth studio album while raising the money for the project through Pledge Music. Released on 19th April 2010, their newest single, ‘Wake Up!,’ is an “instantly psychedelic pop-punk stomper.” Inspired by cosmetics company Barry M.’s tagline “Wake Up Your Make Up,” the song is about creativity and self-expression, with lyrics like “It’s an order! / Sing! Write! Paint! Make!”. Sporting the “Robot Blue” lipstick that Barry M. made them as a thank you for the song, Dee Plume and Sue Denim are decked out in rich colours and looking stunning.
