The Cure / One off London show before US Tour

The CureOkay, Okay, I know. I’ve been very very slack this week – its been, what, five days since the last post? Shocking.

Anyway, hopefully back to somewhere near normal today / tomorrow. The Cure have announced a one off London gig at Wembley Arena. The show will be the band’s only show before they embark on an American tour next year.

They play the Carneverous cave on Thursday March 20th next year. Tickets go on sale Friday morning at 9am.

The CharlatansThe Charlatans have released details of two shows in November to showcase some new material. They have a new single, ‘You Cross My Path’ which will probably be on the shelves in October.

Tickets for the two shows go on sale this Friday (September 21) at 9:30am.

Gonzo 5th Birthday Tour / Bloc Party / Cribs / We Are Scientists + More

Bloc PartyBelieve it or not, Gonzo on MTV2 is 5 years old this year. To celebrate, they’re doing a tour of Barfly venues around the UK, with some of the best bands of the moment. Catch Bloc Party, We Are Scientists (who are doing yet another UK show) and The Cribs amongst other bands at each of the dates.

The ever present Operator Please are openers for each date.

The EnemyThe Enemy have announced their full European and Japanese tours, with an extra London date added.

Expect their date at London’s Union Chapel to go in a matter of moments when tickets go on sale soon. I don’t have specific on-sale dates for any venue yet, as they will probably be on seperate days over the coming weeks.

Pipettes / one off Brighton Show

The PipettesThe Pipettes have announced a quick one off show in Brighton before they go around the world for an incredibly gruelling tour of the USA, Japan and Australia over the coming few months.

They’ll play the newly re-opened Freebutt on Sunday 30th September as part of TacheBack fund rasing event.

TacheBack is a national fundraiser that asks men to get sponsored for growing a moustache throughout September, to help raise money for The Everyman Male Cancer Campaign and its vital research into testicular and prostate cancer.

Tickets go on sale on Monday (10th September) at 9am. Tickets are £16 each.
