Toro Y Moi, aka the unstoppable Chaz Bundick, has announced that he’ll be releasing a new album come 2019. ‘Outer Peace’ will see the light of day on the 19th of January 2019 on Carpark Records. To preview the album, he’s unveiled the lead single from the forthcoming LP. In the promo for single ‘Freelance’, Bundick is filmed being photographed doing (or pretending to do) what he does best: making music in front of a computer and synths. It’s a fun, yet remarkably chill video for these lazy autumnal nights. Check it ‘Freelance’ below. To catch all of our past coverage on Toro Y Moi’s music, come through.

Chaz Bundick, better known by his more fanciful Toro Y Moi, released a new album this summer. Named ‘Boo Boo’, it’s got some great songs, including this downbeat, chill one that now has a music video. ‘No Show’ is another imaginative promo from the mind of Bundick, and he himself stars in the lo-fi presentation. Watch it below. ‘Boo Boo’ is now available from Carpark Records. For more on Toro Y Moi on here on TGTF, go here.

Chaz Bundick, aka the artist known as Toro Y Moi, will be releasing a new album on Friday. The hotly anticipated ‘Boo Boo’ will be released through Carpark Records. ‘You and I’ is the latest from the new album to be previewed, and Bundick revealed its accompanying video last week. Weirdly, I’m getting an inspiring Paul Simon vibe off this song, I guess because Bundick is shown inside a church-y room with a white piano and stained glass windows. Watch it below. All of our past coverage on Toro Y Moi here on TGTF is through here.

Toro Y Moi, the project name for South Carolinan artist Chaz Bundick’s chill wave, has a new video out this week to show off. ‘Omaha’, Bundick’s contribution to Bandcamp’s anti-Trump compilation ‘Our First 100 Days’, now has a promo. No matter if you’re a fan of Toro Y Moi or not, shocking images in the video capture the despair many of the country feel following the election of a leader we neither wanted or trust. At the end, Bundick wakes up suddenly from what was just a horrible dream.
If only real life was so lucky. If you wish to contribute to Our First 100 Days – whose profits “will go directly to organizations working on the front lines of climate, women’s rights, immigration and fairness” – the minimum contribution is US$30, giving you full access to all 30 songs in the compilation. A more than reasonable trade. To catch up on all of our past coverage on this project of Bundick’s, go here.

Chaz Bundick, aka Toro Y Moi, appears to have reinvented himself again. The former chillwave artist has now gone in a sprightly indie pop direction for his upcoming album ‘What For?’, out this spring, if this first taster is any indication. Although he’s got Skeletor on drums and this promo was filmed in a cemetery, the video for ‘Empty Nesters’ shows Bundick banging on his guitar under the clearest blue sky and the brightest sun. Have a listen and watch below.

Chaz Bundick – better known as Toro Y Moi – has a new video for ‘Rose Quartz’, the fourth single off his third album ‘Anything in Return’. The promo is an animated painting of sorts, done justice by artist Lauren Gregory. Watch it below.
