Feeling cold? Are you over the snow? Then how about thinking ahead to sunnier climbs and hot beats at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival? This year’s festival takes place the 25th to the 27th of March 2011. Last year, the festival at Bicentennial Park had its most successful year to date, with 2 sold-out days drawing over 100,000 people. It featured more than 350 international leading electronic music performers, DJs and cutting-edge bands alongside Miami regional artists. Ultra is the first major U.S. music festival of the year, and judging by the names already announced to grace their stages in 2011, this year is going to be one not to miss if you’re a fan of electronic music. Below is a preview from the festival to whet your appetite.

Ultra Music Festival, set to take place in Miami, Florida, on 26-27 March, has announced their Phase 2 line-up. This is shaping up to be a killer weekend of awesome house, trance, electronica and everything in between.

Some big names just announced include Orbital (to play their first gig in America since disbanding in 2004), David Guetta (who recently won a Grammy for his collaboration on ‘When Love Takes Over’ with ex-Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland), Little Boots, Calvin Harris and Paul Oakenfold. These are just a few of the names that have been added in addition to Tiësto (headlining Friday night) and deadmau5 (closing out the festival on Saturday night, pictured above in a position I presume the man will be in post-gig, shattered).

Tickets for the 2-day event are still available here. Advance tickets for the 2-day event are US139.95 (approximately £89 at the time of this posting), and VIP tickets are US350.00 (approximately £223).

After the cut: the complete line-up.
