Levis Ones To Watch 2009 (side poster)Levi’s® OnesToWatch® have announced their 2009 lineup for a series of shows at London’s Hoxton Bar and Grill and also Cargo in two weeks time.

Each night has been curated with handpicked artists who represent the best in new and emerging talent from a dynamic musical spectrum. The roll call includes an exclusive first solo show from Andrew Davie of Cherbourg (pictured right) on folk inspired Monday, Basque-dance prodigies Crystal Fighters, and a much anticipated performance from much hyped Marina & The Diamonds. To close the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen shows, the Thursday evening will celebrate the best new female fronted acts, with sets from indie-darlings Sky Larkin (pictured top), the genre-defying songwriter and producer MPHO, and young singer-songwriter of the moment, Beth Beth Jeans Houghton .

The Whip / November UK Tour

I’ll be honest – I don’t know much about them other than the name, but The Whip have announced their biggest UK tour to date.

They’re also offering fans the chance to leave a show with a limited edition USB wristband containing a recording of one of the tour nights, with additional storage space. These wristbands can be bought via their myspace page, where fans can order the USB wristband and gig ticket package for the special price of £20.

Normal tickets are £8.50 for all dates except London which is £9.50 a pop.

The Whip / May UK Tour

The WhipI can’t say I know much about them, but NME favourites The Whip have announced a tour for May this year.

They release a single, ‘Trash’ on March 17 with their debut album ‘X Marks Destination’ on flying into shops near you on Monday 24th March.

Tickets are on sale now for all dates except London and Manchester, which go on sale tomorrow (19th February) at 9am. You should go – they have a hot female drummer. That’s the way forward.
